The Drikung Garchen Institute is a Drikung Kagyu center in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We offer teachings, seminars, regular meditations and meditation retreats.

Kompaktseminar - Einführung in Schrift und Grammatik des klassichen Tibetisch (18.-20.5.12) sowie 2. ein wöchentlicher Lektürekurs jeweils Montags von 19:00-20:30 Uhr (Kursdauer: 27. Mai - 22. Juli 2013).
We are happy to announce that H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, the spiritual leader of the Drikung Garchen Institute, is going to visit our Munich centre fromSeptember 6th till 25th, 2013. After the Yamantaka Drubchen (6.9.-15.9.13) he will again guide a public talk, Heart Sutra teachings, an Guru Dragpo and Amitabha empowerment along with a Amitabha retreat.
Lama Tsering Rinpoche leads various retreats and meditation courses almost every month, suitable for beginners as well as for advanced practitioners: White Tara (April 11-15), Milarepa (May 9-12) and Manjushri (June 14-18). There will also be some day retreats again this year such as Guru Rinpoche (March 23) and Vajrayogini (June 1).

Gampopa (1074-1153) was one of the main disciples of Milarepa and is considered the true founder of the Kagyu schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
On February 28th, 2013 we start again our talks "37 paths to happiness" about the 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas written by Gyalse Thogme Sangpo and how to implement them into daily life. The discussion is guided again by Jürgen Drews together with Lama Tsering Rinpoche.
