Many long time Buddhist practitioners are unaware of contemplative meditation, but it is a essential foundational practice of the Drikung Kagyu Three Year Retreat. It is a powerful method to allow the Buddhist teachings to penetrate the mind, to go from intellectual understanding to real experience and deep knowing.
We will use various methods to penetrate the heart of the teachings making them meaningful to our own lives and experience, and we will cultivate an emotional connection to them that will be the basis for real change in our behavior. Stretching and breathing practices will be incorporated to decrease discomfort common in practicing for extended periods so dress appropriately!
We are very happy to announce that Rachel Dodds will guide this retreat from March 19th till 22nd, 2015 at our center.
